Elizabeth Loop.

My work in the field of health and well-being began in 1990 when I started teaching aerobics

here in Vancouver. In 1993 I taught dance classes in Spain while attending the University of

Alicante. In 1995 I earned a degree in Communication from Marylhurst University, and began

studying and practicing Yoga, first at the Yoga College of India in Portland, Oregon, then with

Julie Gudmestad & Associates in Portland as well. In 1996 I went to study massage at the East

West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 1997. I now study with Paul

Cheek at The BKS Iyengar Yoga School of Southwest Washington in Camas, WA.

I have been a Massage Therapist for 10 years and have worked in a variety of settings: clinical,

spa, retreat center, adult care, corporate and private business. I currently work as a contractor

at Nike, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon, and at Belle Santé Massage & Spa in Camas, Washington. I

integrate some specific techniques into the field of movement & massage therapy including:

Traditional Thai Massage, Reiki, Nia, Muscle Energy, and Structural Release.

I love people. I enjoy working one-on-one and in groups. My purpose is to assist your body to move

with ease, flexibility, strength, and joy. We are designed to move. If we enjoy what we do, we’ll

keep doing it. We must do what we enjoy. Choose joy!

Kisa Davison found yoga in 1993 in her search to keep her body strong and flexible with

scoliosis. As time went on, Kisa found that yogasanas and meditation helped keep her mind

strong and flexible, too. Now a mother of four young, energetic children, Kisa’s teaching

interests include yoga for pregnancy and children. Her teaching style is friendly and guided

by her passion for peaceful living – on and off of the mat. In addition to teaching beginning

level adult classes, she will be teaching children’s classes on Saturdays.

paul cheek has been studying and practicing yoga since 1990.  His approach is welcoming to

all levels of ability and all body types.  His goal as a teacher is to help the student bring healing,

health, and personal growth to their life through yoga.  paul has completed a teacher-training

course with Julie Lawrence, a two-year, 500 hour, teacher-training program at the Iyengar

Yoga Institute of San Francisco and apprenticed with Julie Lawrence.  In December 2005 Paul

completed the requirements for “teacher in training” assessment in the Iyengar tradition and

in October of 2006 completed the requirements for “introductory” certification.
